What is the NightOps project?
While NightOps was originally a German gaming-clan, founded by Zeal in 2001 to play Operation Flashpoint (the predecessor to Armed Assault) it evolved over the decades and was re-initialized by Biscuits, SkyDel0 and Zeal as a modding-gathering in 2022. NightOps is nowadays a development-team creating modifications, frameworks and ingame scenarios for the Arma franchise and Arma Reforger in particular. What does NightOps provide?
The project creates and offers modifications for the latest Armed Assault games. Like persistent coop scenarios for Arma 3 and fullfledged gameplay-modifications for Arma Reforger which allows players to create their own cstom campaigns and coop missions easily. It's part of our philosophy to share complete tutorials covering everything of our work so everyone can use the frameworks and setups in their own content.
Is the NightOps project opensource?
Everything the NightOps developers create is opensource for public use. The developers share all of their code used in the releases on GitHub so everyone in the community can use and learn for their own creations.
Are NightOps mods total conversions?
The main goal of the project is to provide powerful frameworks which allows players and other developers to achieve better creations with the existing assets. While we provide brand new game-modes and missions with additional unique assets, we don't plan to create total conversions at this moment.
